October is AAC Awareness Month
October 2026 is AAC Awareness Month. We support everyone’s right to communicate in ways that work for them. Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), including communication boards, can support people who have difficulty using or understanding speech. To celebrate AAC Awareness Month and promote Communication Access, we’re sharing a free dementia communication board to help more people communicate, connect and be understood.
