Free Easy Read documents

Easy Read documents by Embrace Access support government, community, health and disability organisations to share information clearly with people who face reading and communication barriers. We create co-designed, accessible Easy Read documents that strengthen communication access and help organisations demonstrate a genuine commitment to disability inclusion.

Co-design

At Embrace Access, we don’t just create Easy Read documents — we collaborate with people with disability to choose words, images, and content that reflect real experiences and disability access needs. This approach balances power, amplifies disabled voices, and ensures communications are genuinely inclusive for people with reading support needs.

What is Easy Read and plain language?

In 2025, Ruby Yee, Director of Embrace Access, delivered an interactive presentation on the differences between Easy Read and plain language as part of Tasmania’s Accessibility Community of Practice speaker series.

This educational video can be viewed and shared freely, supporting government, community, health and disability organisations to build capability in accessible written communication and choose the right formats to meet diverse communication needs.
