About our training

Training is from 9:30AM - 12.30PM AEDT. At Embrace Access, we believe communication should empower, not exclude. Our Easy Read training is designed for anyone who wants to build confidence in writing, designing, editing, and publishing Easy Read documents—ensuring information is clear, inclusive, and accessible. Led by experienced Easy Read specialists, our training sessions bring together participants from non-profits, government, and corporate sectors to develop practical skills that break down information access barriers. In this training, you will learn how to: - choose accessible words for people with low English literacy - construct Easy Read sentences - choose inclusive and accessible images - design your document with an Easy Read layout - check your work with helpful tools and software. Whether you're new to Easy Read or looking to refine your approach, our hands-on workshops provide the knowledge and tools you need to create truly inclusive communication. Join us and be part of the movement toward a more accessible world! If you have a group of 3 or more people, please contact us directly to arrange a 'workplace training' at a time and date that suits you. Questions? Email us at easyread@embraceaccess.com.au
